Standing Tall

Christmas holiday is always something I looked forward to. Boxing day is my favourite day and I love exchanging gifts. Due to incoming assignments and reports, my dreams of having a wonderful christmas is beyond reach.

I played a lot during my work days and how I wish things were good if only I can manage my time more wisely.
I tensed to be a procrastinator and slacker when I am in bad mood. Indeed, my life is now in shamble and hopefully, I am able to pull through this semester. I sometimes thought that work can be done in minute period but my early approach towards life is little more than just repudiation.

We made mistakes and learnt from them. but how many times do we have to repeat the same mistake? If we try to vindicate our negative approach towards life, I believe it sets us more into abysmal and adverse circumstances.

I have peers who asked me why I walk so fast.
My standard reply will be a smile and I slowed down. Frankly, how a person walks determine how fast his/her life is moving. I cant stand people walking slow while they are working or attending classes. We all know we have to take life one step at a time but where is the sense of urgency? If you dont even care about the time taken for you to be from one place to another, do you even care to finish up your task?

Christmas Plan

I think I have a clear picture of what I want to do for christmas

1. Read ' The girl who kick the hornet's nest by Stieg Larsson.

2. Catch up ' Desperate Housewives'. I missed a few seasons.

3. Read a cook book and learn more new recipes.

4. Work harder at the gym.

5. Do my final year project. This is not supposed to be in my holiday plan.. but cant run away from it  =(

Recently, a friend of mine asked me what EE4Z was all about. EE4Z is a business module which I have taken during my final year of engineering. EE4Z is also known as Diffusion and Deployment of technology that enables student to take a deep look into factors that make a product successful. Take an example of nintendo wii.

We, humans, cared about the latest technology. Everyone fancies games no matter where we go and I am sure one of you are an early adopter of technology or shall i call you ' gadget geek'. We only play what's popular based on surveys and feedbacks. In fact, most of us do not know which product has failed in the market. Therefore, we have to construct quality function deployment (QFD) where we need to generate user requirements and match them with product feature. By this way, we can find out what makes a product successful and our judgement is vindicated. Risk management is important for the the risk involved in affecting product development.

OK..I am going to stop here because its getting boring. During my free time, I love searching for random videos such as computer games, singing competition such as X factor and gordon ramsey. I want to share a video because I think Jackie Evancho is such an amazing 10 year old singer. She sings opera, made eyebrows raised and wowed the audience. A beautiful gift from god is worth sharing. An angelic voice from heaven

here's a joke i would love to share. Not sure if you heard this before

There were 2 old ladies sitting at a garden describing life at its best. Both of them took out a cigarettes and started smoking. After a while, lady A noticed that lady B's cigarette has a tiny umbrella on it. Puzzled, she asked lady B


lady A : why on earth you would want a tiny umbrella on your cigarette?
lady B: oh.. dear...it keeps the rain from falling onto the tip of my cigarette.
lady A: oh i see....
lady B: you should do something about your cigarette.


Lady A, on the next day, went to a 24-7 mart and started looking for something that could cover her cigarettes too. something that could keep the rain off.


after a while, a young male cashier asked
cashier: may i help you, ma'am?
lady A: erm yea, please do me a favour ,son. Can i get a pack of condoms.?
cashier: yes, ma'am (confused )... what size would you like?
lady A: it doesnt matter.... as long as it fits a camel

I am officially done with EE4Z, a crazy business course module. I am smiling right now, yes i am smillling wider, my mouth is wide open, i am drooling, NO i am not CRAZY.

But thats not the end to my predicament, I still have presentation to be prepared which will due in 2 weeks time. How sad can my life be. but i must admit this is what an engineer will face. All work and no play makes Nicholas a SAD boy. 

I have no idea where should i go for holiday during christmas? All I want is some hot milk and cookie from santa himself... HAHA

There's just too many event going on before I could lay my fingers on the keyboard. Friend's birthday party, assignments, late night university camping etc. From today onwards,I have to declare myself  " Mr. Play- and -hyper-who-thinks-work-can-be-done-last-minute ". When I look at the calender, I am so way behind schedule in terms of work and I just need to step up my games. I have been slacking in gym, not fully committed to the training i used to plus late night sleep.. oh god.... what's wrong with me!!!

Frankly, I knew what I did was a little abnormal but most importantly, I am enjoying myself to the extent where I just totally forgot myself. Did I ever mentioned that time is gold? if I have gold, can I buy time? doesnt make any sense at all.

Right now, what I need to do is concentrate on work 100% and as soon as I am done, I just want to continue playing and playing. After all, who doesn't like playing?

Recently, I have been told by a friend I have an arrogant look. Wait! DO I? Not just this one but a few in the previous years. I honestly think of myself as a person who is friendly and I dont choose friends.

I have to say its not easy to make a simple dish, at the same the food has its soul. Jamie has his way and I like the way of how he utilise every single ingredient to the fullest.

When the house stills, I enjoy the momentary silence despite wind came knocking on every door. I love the sweet smelling flowers during the day, drinking hot green tea and by evening, i sit back, relax and enjoy my music videos. Sometimes, i blog instead. There's a common and interesting analogy between me and my housemates. We love cooking, teasing one another, banging on each others door and play games as well. Having said that, I would like to send this quote to my readers.

I am so sorry for upsetting my dear readers for " abandoning" this blog for like... ehem... 2 years..
ah well, the whole story behind all these 'come back thing' is because I have so much work to do such as gym..
(haha " yea right nicholas!!)
 I believe sharing some stories with friends is so much like having fun at the same time when you receive some hilarious feedbacks. Friends don't last forever but some good friends do.

OK, I am not going to bore you with my past or my long-winded stories. First things first, I want to talk about my current situation as a blogger who will commit to this blog at least once a week. The reason behind this is I think committing to something plays a very important factor that reflects on my personality.

Second, whoever read this, please give me some ideas on how i can improve my blog.

last but not least, once in a while, do send me some of the stories you would like to share. I will try to post them and its a good thing that my blog is not just about me but something else as well..
